Barbara Ruggiero, Ph.D., a founder of Brass City Charter School whose varied career demonstrates a lifelong commitment to children’s academic success, comes most recently from Children’s Community School, where she acted as Executive Director/Principal, and before that from Chase Collegiate School. Dr. Ruggiero is a former licensed child psychologist and an experienced school leader with curricular, personnel, community relations, budget, management, and fundraising experience. Nancy Landona, Chief Operating Officer, and co-founder of Brass City Charter School, has had a varied career in grant writing, volunteer coordination, bookkeeping, teaching, curriculum writing, and much more. She earned a degree in early childhood education from Southern CT State University and MEd in instructional design from Western Governor's University.

Laura Main, Ed.D. comes to us from varied experiences as teacher, writing and math coach, school leader and founding principal of a charter school. Dr. Main earned her bachelor's degree in English at Cornell University, a master's from Bank Street College, and a doctorate in instructional leadership from Western Connecticut State University. Dr. Main believes that a school should be a place where "each student is seen, known, and valued, not just for their academic abilities, but for who they are as a whole person. Orla Mokriski-Schley, Coordinator of the Middle School comes to us with more than twenty years in education and brings extensive experience as a teacher, advisor, administrator, and coach. Danielle Gaynor, Director of Student Culture and Family Engagement, oversees the social-emotional support program at BCCS. In addition, she promotes parental involvement in the life of the school.
