Brass City Charter School

How to Enroll in BCCS

Applications for the 2015-16 school year are now closed.

The lottery will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at 2:00 pm in the St. Margaret Church Hall, 289 Willow Street, Waterbury. The public is invited.

Brass City Charter School accepts students from throughout the city of Waterbury. Bus transportation to all areas of the city is available. Students living outside Waterbury are not eligible to attend Brass City Charter School.

BCCS opened in September 2013 with 114 children in grades pre-K, K, and 1. In September 2014, our current 1st graders will become 2nd graders, and we will add a new lot of 34 pre-K students. Eventually, BCCS will include grades pre-K through 8.

Children are admitted to BCCS by lottery.

BCCS does not discriminate on any basis other than residence: families applying for admission to BCCS must be legal residents of the City of Waterbury.

Because we are a public school, there is no tuition at BCCS; students admitted to the school attend free of charge. Meals and snacks are included.
